The Cook - Putaruru

We are pleased to welcome The Cook to Putaruru. The Cook - Cafe & Bar has a reputation as a great suburban cafe in Hamilton East , with good sized meals to enjoy with friends. This style of gastro-pub  food now is on offer in the Putaruru Hotel. The chefs are from The Cook in Hamilton, and the menu is the same menu as The Cook in Hamilton. Open 5.00pm to late Thursday Friday and Saturday, and bookings are preferred.

Steak

150g marinated rump steak, parmesan creamy mushrooms, beer battered onion rings, lettuce, sliced tomato and aioli         $18.50

Chicken

Buttermilk fried chicken thigh topped with melted brie, bacon lardons lettuce, sliced tomato and a smokey chipotle mayo   $18.50

Pulled Pork

Hoisin and honey pulled pork served with an Asian style slaw, pickled cucumber and kewpie mayo $17.50

The Putaruru Hotel welcomes bookings for conferences, functions, special occasions, weddings & tour groups

Tour groups are welcome - we can cater to groups of any size and on any day if the group is pre-booked. Groups larger than 12 will dine on a set menu and all budgets can be catered upon request.

Tour guides and drivers are free of charge if organised by prior arrangement.

The dining room is available for private use at anytime of the year. The hotel can cater for up to 100 people for a sit down ‘a la carte meal’, or up to 150 for a cocktail style get together.

Menus can be designed to suit all tastes and budgets.

Coffee Stop

Our new offering in the Putaruru Hotel building, where the old bottle store was. It was an empty room but now hosts a huge spanish three group espresso machine and features locally roasted Weka beans
Open Monday - Saturday 8am - 1pm 
We can also open later or earlier for coffee groups - we are working on getting a food offering established
